CORRUPTION
THE CANCER KILLING ADMINISTRATION
There are many doors for entry of corruptions, many windows for communications of corruptions and many loop holes for escaping from the charges of corruption.Only in one way traffic it can be chargable and punishable offence but in two way dealings it is not possible to detect it also and when and where big heads and hands are involved iot is impossible to deterct the corruption.But it is a fundamental principle of criminology that every criminal always keeps something behind him for guide line
With such short preamble I would like to place a story : of course facts : for concerned and competant authorities to commit post mortem of the facts . :-
During the last week of January 2012, when GM 1 of SBI had resumed at Ahmedabad, formally I wel come a and greeted him in his chamber with warm reception and expected all co operation on either side. He was also pleased with the first meeting . I had incidently placed the grievances of depositors at the closer or merger of shahalam gate branch of Ahmedabad. It wasw just proposal and GM was not awared with facts naturally being new comer. but he had promised to guard against grievanced of public.
Something happened during last six months , what, that I cannot presume, but during june 12 it is decided that the existing Pushpkunj kankaria Branch is to be closed and to be merged with Shah alam gate branch. Formerly there was proposal to close shahalam branch and to merge it with pushp kunj branch but technically it was not possible and pushpkunj is closed and merged with shahalam branch situated at Geetamandir road which is working here since about last 40 years. .The documents and depositors of pushpkunj transferred to shahaalam branch having area of about 3300 sft. so reported by co0mpetant authorities. Now within 15 days or so it is decided by the concerned and competant authorities to shift the premises of shahalam branch from gitamandir road where it is working since 40 years , to the vacated pushpkunj branch situated at goradhanvadi having area of only about 2200 sft. much lesser area than shahalam branch ann now double loaded work load. It seems aridiculous decision of shifting the premises of shahalam branch having established record of last about 40 years to smaller premised and double charges of both the branches. Pusdhpkunj had shifted from gordhanvadi to shahalam at gitamandir road and now shahalam is to be shifted from gitamandir to gordhanvadi within 15 days . The consequential difficulties of staff, publid, depositors and other co relalatrd persons are placed before some competant authorities but they could not justify the shifting. .
It is found that one of their agm had replied on phone that the decision is taken by higher authorities ,he has not seen both the premises I tried to contact dgm Mr. Gupta and he also told he had not seen both the premises. . I know that Gm ! who is superior officer being new with the topography of the city may not awarew with the situation and may be guided by the subordinate officers, clear facts mught have not been placed before him and sanction might have been taken from him by some one. May be it is a rumour, the owner of the premises of shahalam branch desired to get possession of his building or higher rent or what so ever be the reason but the decision of shifting of the premises of shahalam branch is not fair and just .
I admit, cgm and gm are superior officers, may have not complete idea for the real topography of the state and its area wise position also ,it is also worthconsidesrable factor that they had just resumed in the starting of 2012 and they may not be awared of the situation, and as I referreed previously, the root of proposal were seems to be burried prior to their resumption on chair so naturally they might not knowiong the correct picture but what about the remaining local officers ? The site and premises of the both the branches must have seen by them, it is also not unhiden fact that the shahalam branch is working here since last more than 30 years, it is also a fact that there is no other branch in this area, then which factor has been proved influential ? It is too early for me to criticise orpass any comment on the issue but authorities must check the situation and reinstatae the branch on its original premises.If there is any genuine reason ,it should also be placed prior to leading any other presumption.
Hoping some response and reply from competant authorities.I would also like to know the figure of expenditure incurred in closure, merger, shifting of pushpkunj branch to shahalam gate branch and shifting of shah alam branch to pushpkunj branch besides from the inconvenience of public, depositors and your staff also who cannot speak under featr of discipline.
